Brenda S. Bence is a certified senior executive coach who works with C-Suite executives, corporate directors, company boards, senior leaders and leadership teams all around the world to help them set stretch goals and achieve positive career- and life-enhancing change.
With an MBA from Harvard Business School, Brenda spent the first 20 years of her career building mega brands for companies like Procter & Gamble and Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she was a senior executive responsible for billion-dollar businesses across four continents and 50 countries.
In 2002, Brenda left the corporate world and founded BDA International (“BDA”). Now doing business across 30 countries and with offices in both the U.S. and Asia, BDA Int’l provides executive coaching, speaking, and training
services for clients located in Southeast Asia, Greater China, the U.S./North America, Western & Eastern Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, Australia/New Zealand, and Africa. BDA’s proprietary leadership development programs have been listed in Leadership Excellence’s annual ranking of the best development programs worldwide. In 2017, she was recognized by Global Gurus as one of the top 30 executive coaches across the world.
Having been a senior executive herself, Brenda understands the challenges of top leadership positions. She has an extensive background in external coaching and senior leadership training, and has coached over 700 executives from more than 60 nationalities across multiple functions and 70 different industries.
Brenda is certified by the International Coach Federation, by Results Coaching Systems (Australia), and is a Board Certified Coach (U.S.). Having trained extensively with the College of Executive Coaching (U.S.), she is also certified in key assessment tools, such as Leadership Agility 360, Emotional Capital Report 360, Extended DISC, Hogan Leadership Suite, and Workplace Big 5 and has been trained in the use of many assessments, including MBTI, FIRO-B, LPI (Leadership Practices Inventory), EQI (Bar-On), Kolb Learning Styles, Influence Styles Index, and CPI (Coaching Report for Leaders), to name a few.
Brenda’s client list includes companies from all across the globe, such as 3M, Abbott, AIA, BCG, Citi, Credit Suisse, Deloitte, General Electric, JLL, Kraft, Lilly, Microsoft, Ogilvy, Radisson, RBS, Sheraton Hotels, Sime Darby, Standard Chartered Bank, Takeda, UBS AG, and the U.S. Department of State.
An avid writer, Brenda is the author of several books which have collectively won more than 30 national and international book awards. As both a magazine and a newspaper columnist, Brenda regularly writes articles related to leadership, executive coaching, and branding.
Brenda and her articles have been featured in more than 400 media and publications across the world including NBC TV, Reader’s Digest, Financial Times, Investor’s Business Daily, Entrepreneur Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, SmartMoney, Cosmopolitan, and The Los Angeles Times. Brenda is also a popular guest on radio and TV shows.
Brenda sits on boards of both public and private companies as well as not-for-profit organizations. She has traveled to 90 countries, is an avid Mahjong player, and enjoys studying foreign languages.
